Entrepreneurship Program Initiative of CGCC (EPIC 5)

On 10 July 2025, at the Business Development Center, Credit Guarantee Corporation of Cambodia (CGCC), and Maybank (Cambodia), co-organized the EPIC 5 on “Developing a Bankable Business Plan for MSMEs”, presided over by Oknha Te Taing Por, president of Federation of Associations for SMEs of Cambodia (FASMEC), and with honorable presence of Mr. No Lida, CEO of CGCC, Mr. Duk Sarak, Head of Community Financial Service of Maybank, and participated by 35 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) owners, and management and staffs of the three institutions, in total approximately 70 participants.
Through EPIC 5, MSME participants engaged in a panel discussion on the topic ”Access to support and finance for Small and Medium Enterprises’’, shared by Oknha Te Taing Por, president of FASMEC, Mr. Nhim Soriya, Director of Finance and Business Analytics Department of CGCC, and Mr. Duk Sarak, Head of Community Financial Service of Maybank, and Mr. Chav Soursdey, owner of Fisheries Processing Handicraft, who received a loan guarantee from CGCC disbursed by Maybank, and investment support under the Investment Support Facility (ISF).
As a result of the panel discussion, participants gained insight into the challenges faced by business owners, explored solutions and support mechanisms, and received tips on accessing finance and effectively managing loans.
In addition, participants also learnt about the training topic ‘’Developing a Bankable Business Plan for MSMEs’’, delivered by Ms. Chau Lonmolika, CEO and Founder of Cambodian Standard Development & Supply Co., Ltd., and BoD in charge of Commission Access to Finance of YEAC. Following the training, participants engaged in group discussions to create a simple 1-page business plan using the Model Lean Canvas and received constructive feedback from the trainer.
Capacity-building is one of the CGCC’s key priorities in improving financial inclusion and fostering the development of SMEs in Cambodia. EPIC is the flagship entrepreneurs’ capacity-building program of CGCC, providing training to MSMEs on relevant and practical topics of business operations and management for entrepreneurs, in collaboration with related stakeholders and Participating Financial Institutions.
