July 3, 2026Events and Activities
On July 1st, 2026, at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh, CGCC was honored to participate in the official launch of the Energy Efficiency Revolving Fund (EERF), an initiative supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to accelerate energy efficiency investments among Cambodian SMEs.
EERF was established to provide financing for investments in energy-efficiency technologies at concessional interest rates, with an optional credit guarantee from CGCC. The facility is implemented by SME Bank through participating financial institutions, including CIMB Bank and Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia (FTB).
Ms. Chun Sothany, Director of Strategy and Business Development Department of CGCC, participated as a speaker and shared insights into the benefits and importance of the EERF facility. She highlighted that the facility addresses two key challenges commonly faced by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) when investing in energy-efficiency technologies: access to affordable financing and insufficient collateral. Through CGCC’s participation, SMEs can access financing from participating financial institutions even if they lack collateral or their collateral is insufficient to meet the lending requirements.

CGCC is committed to working closely with SME Bank, CIMB Bank, FTB Bank, and other key stakeholders to expand access to finance for SMEs and contribute to promoting green and sustainable economic development in Cambodia.
