Individual Guarantee Plus (IGPlus)
The Individual Guarantee Plus (IGPlus) is a new scheme of CGCC designed to support government policies, strategies, and priority sectors, including the rice sector, cassava, manufacturing, social housing development, and affordable housing. This scheme is designed to enable borrowers to submit an Expression of Interest to CGCC to obtain a guarantee of up to USD 10 million per loan for working capital and business expansion and allows CGCC to jointly assess, with PFIs, the borrowers’ repayment capacity.
The primary objectives of IGPlus are to:
- Enhance access to finance for underserved corporate enterprises
- Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth
- Strengthening PFI confidence through risk-sharing mechanisms
- Stimulate private sector development and competitiveness
IGPlus Scheme Features
Eligible Loan
Eligible Borrower
To be eligible for IGPlus, the borrower must meet the following requirements:
Type of Borrower
- Individual: Must be a Cambodian only
- Legal entity: A company both Cambodian and Foreign Company legally registered and operating in Cambodia
Age of Borrower
- Individual: The main Borrower or co-Borrower must not be more than 70 years old at the time of the loan's maturity
- Legal Entity: At least one of shareholders owning at least 10% share and authorized representative must not be more than 70 years old at the time of the loan's maturity
Borrower as Legal Entity
- Require for personal guarantor (all shareholders owning at least 10% share must be personal guarantors)
Business Registration
- Require
Financially Viable
- All borrowers must be financially viable that satisfied both CGCC's and PFl's assessment
